Sometimes, one medium is not enough to convey the atmosphere. Sometimes it can feel to much of a constraint. Sometimes, you want to mix things up. To explore differently. To see many textures, to layer, to play with opacity, with mattness. To play with the rules…
I started exploring mixed media for plein-air, then with line & wash, but it has slowly found its own place in my studio practice. It is such a playful and delightful approach to art.
